Kitchen canister sets are a great way to get your kitchen organized. Canisters come in pretty much any size you can imagine. They prevent bugs or vermin from sneaking into your food. They also keep the kitchen tidy and make finding items alot easier. If you have children I think plastic or non-breakable canisters are the way to go.
1. POP is a an amazing brand but it is plastic and the top actually pops up. They are wonderful for small children who can’t seem to get the top off, and are perfect for people who are older and have ailments like arthritis. All you have to do is the pop the lid off. It pops back in very securely when you are done. The container store carries this brand and you can also find it online.
2. If you are more concerned with the look, there are a few decorative kitchen canisters that I recommend. I personally prefer bronze or vintage kitchen canisters. Whether I am in a modern or rustic kitchen, canisters that have an aged look really give the kitchen some personality. The brand Old Dutch has a nice selection.
3. Stacks and Stacks is another company to look into. They have a huge selection to choose from with many different sizes and styles.
4. The usual Target, Ikea, Amazon route. If you have a modern kitchen and you want an affordable set these are the places to go, glass and stainless steel is another way to go.
5 .Country kitchen canisters are another option for adding a little color to your kitchen. Usually the best place to find these are online. There are tons of small businesses that sell them. These can be hand painted and have a little added cloth to get a nice country feel. Some that I have found actually look like old jam jars which is a nice touch to a country kitchen.
